NIST Advanced Chemical Sciences Laboratory (National Institute of Standards and Technology

Mona designed and built a special electrical system for this $75 million, 200,000-square-foot, 21st century chemistry laboratory and biotechnological/analytical/environmental/clinical research center. With a high-efficiency air handling system, five clean rooms, and 168 lab modules, each with its own electric panel and pre-wired raceway with custom wiring devices required for the specific needs of each scientist, the project presented a strict and challenging working environment. The highest level of expertise, professionalism, and quality craftsmanship was need for everything from fire detection and emergency systems to the electrical systems powering the mechanical components.
