Old Senate Chamber - State of Maryland

This project was the historical renovation of the Old Senate Chambers at the Maryland State House. Said to have been the place where George Washington laid down his battle sword, and became a “civilian”, the work included the installation of new light fixtures, ETC dimming control system, lighting control devices, completely concealed Fire Alarm System and Security Cameras. This work was to be completed while keeping the integrity of the architectural design. This meant that any hole that needed to be made in the walls or ceiling could not be done without the approval of the historical team, often leading to alternate paths needing to be taken to pull wire or install outlets. The lighting was strategically placed to be hidden from plan site and light just the right areas being show cased.
