Fort Totten

  • 5,400 Sq ft of New Construction
  • WMATA Police Station with 100% Emergency Back-Up Power
  • Complete Tele/Data, Security and A/V Systems
Located on the existing Fort Totten Metro Stop, the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority built a 5,400 sq. ft building for the WMATA police department. The project consisted of all power, lighting, distribution, voice/data, fire alarm, and security systems. Mona was also responsible for connecting the new building to the existing Metro stop with Fiber optic cable. The 1,500’ long connection required the installation of a new underground conduit system. Mona also provided the building with 100% emergency backup power from a new 400kw diesel generator.
